There’s something magical about late-night discoveries, even if they come courtesy of a Ring camera rather than a moonlit stroll. A few nights ago, my heart skipped as the screen flickered to reveal a sleek, coppery figure gliding through the backyard — a fox, wild and uninvited, yet mesmerizing in its quiet confidence.

It wasn’t just any fox; it was the fox, a creature straight out of folklore, tail swishing with purpose as it surveyed the yard with those sharp, intelligent eyes. What was it doing here, in my suburban oasis? The answer didn’t take long to reveal itself. Rats, remember my first viral story?

The occasional shadowy skitter I’d noticed in the past was likely the fox’s late-night buffet.

Two nights later, a second fox made her appearance. His wife? His hunting partner? Maybe just a neighbor stopping by to share the spoils. Either way, it was clear this was a duo on a mission.
