When it comes to working with Tableau, I quickly learned it’s not enough to simply create great visualizations. You must show that you have deep understanding of data preparation. Humans will still be entering data even in the age of AI. Optimization, and performance tuning are crucial, especially when dealing with millions of rows of data. We will discuss more on these topics in future articles.

Remember that iconic scene in Outlander when Claire’s knowledge of healing and medicine becomes her ticket to survival? Just an ordinary WWII nurse, thrown back in time by mysterious power to the middle of a field of battle in 18th-century Scotland. She’s in twentieth century thin and revealing clothes. Outside! Holy crap! Around the bend, she’s confronted by a band of Scottish fighters.

One is a tall handsome muscular redhead, with a badly dislocated shoulder. He looks kind. But his commander is a rather menacing and leering captain, who seemingly cant decide what to do with her.

She’s suddenly in danger, and the only way to prove her worth is by showing what she knows — her medical expertise. She shows them how to heal wounds, and swiftly converts to their terminology. I almost thought they would hang her when she said “Infected” instead of “inflamed” lol.
