My First Tableau Developer Interview: An Important Lesson in Curveball questions.
“Picture this: There I was, palms slightly sweaty, sitting in front of my computer for my first-ever Tableau Developer interview. Talk about a nerve-wracking milestone! After 4 years teaching wide-eyed college students how to swim in those same waters, I thought I was practically a data visualization mermaid.
With the world doing its best impression of a political rollercoaster (minus the fun part), I’ve been cooking up a plan that would make any digital nomad proud. You see, data speaks every language, and Tableau? Well, Tableau is like the ultimate passport in the data world.
Just imagine: Me, my laptop, and the ability to turn numbers into visual storytelling gold from literally anywhere on the planet. Whether I’m sipping coconut water in Bali or coffee in Barcelona, those dashboard skills could be my ticket to the location-independent promised land. Because let’s face it — while politicians are building walls, data analysts are building bridges, one visualization at a time.
But oh boy, was this interview about to teach me that even the most seasoned swimmers can find themselves in the deep end… and I’m not talking about the hotel pool I’m dreaming of working beside!
