If you are in an older company or in government, you will find they still use this technology, and learning it still puts you in line for a hotshot Tableau job once you get your foot in the door. Remember this is s Microsoft product, so learning it and understanding fundamental DATABASE CONCEPTS (like SQL) , means you can easily learn those other tools, like Power BI. You may even be asked to convert all their data from SSRS to another tool.
