Right wing Nationalists and populists are always saying they want more immigrants from Europe to move here. they want to stop the changes in our culture, religion, and foods. They want to make sure they don’t become a minority. But why would anyone leave wealthy sane countries with good healthcare and decent work-life balance to move here permanently?
For many potential immigrants from Europe and other affluent regions, safety and quality of life are paramount considerations when deciding where to relocate. The persistent threat of gun violence in the U.S. serves as a major deterrent. Despite the allure of American economic opportunities and cultural attractions, the risk associated with living in a country plagued by gun-related crime is a significant concern.
In my opinion, this situation is paradoxical. The extreme right-wing factions in America, who often advocate for more restrictive immigration policies and express a preference for wealthier, more educated immigrants, are inadvertently pushing these very individuals away.
