dealing with workplace stress, office politics and job uncertainty.
Many many people are facing layoffs, downsizing, forced retirement, Terminations. in other words, many of us are being let go.
those of you wondering how to deal with workplace stress
Here are some of the things I did
- Office politics: you may find yourself dealing with two faced coworkers and insensitive bosses.
At least one or two days a week, go to lunch on your own around 1:30 or 2:30 in the afternoon when everybody else has had lunch and the restaurants are quiet. Order food and sit in the corner Or better yet go outside and sit in the park and watch the pigeons (when I was a contractor in Colorado they have rabbits all over the parking lot) or the squirrels. and do some thinking on your own and don’t let anybody make you feel embarrassed Or strange for sitting by yourself. Be proud that you can go your own way sometimes. Not all the times of course it’s good to keep in check again with others see what’s going on all around the company and the world. I am proud to sit by myself sometimes with or without a book or notebook and just do my own thinking and planning for my own life.
2. MOVE your stressed out body — -Embrace exercising even if it’s in bed just after you wake up. Wear your Fitbit to bed so that you can do whatever…
