Our new kitchen island was less than $300 (and included two darlings came from the interweb to assemble it), but it has been a game changer in having fun and being frugal in the kitchen. We can push the kitchen island into the living room archway when we want to watch TV and do something healthy like chop up vegetables. It’s just the right height for sitting on a stool or standing, making a delicious healthy meal while I watch some Frasier reruns.
