Fear is a funny thing. It can grip you and make you question the ground beneath your feet, especially in a world evolving faster than you can say, “Entity relationship diagrams.”
When ChatGPT stepped onto the scene, I’ll admit, my tutoring business felt a ripple of anxiety. What if this AI dynamo swooped in and took the reins, leaving me in the dust, perhaps delivering pizzas for DoorDash?
Why, just the other day, a young woman was carjacked while delivering a pizza on the west side of this bustling but crime-ridden city. Heavens to Betsy!

But here’s the twist: ChatGPT didn’t wreck my tutoring gig; it became my unexpected ally on the academic battlefield.

In the age of instant information, students are turning to AI, like ChatGPT, for quick answers. Now, I won’t deny that ChatGPT is a marvel at churning out information. However, just like a mechanical doll, what it can’t do is guide, understand, and connect with students on a personal level. That’s where I come in.
